About PCOS Today
PCOS Today started as PCOS Today Magazine in 2005 by Linda Harvey. PCOS Today is available for women and girls with polycystic ovarian syndrome (also called polycystic ovarian disease or Stein-Leventhal Syndrome) to learn more about the disorder, connect with one another, and find original, unique content about PCOS/PCOD. Typical content includes nutritional expertise from Angela Grassi, PCOS nutritionist, personal stories from women and girls with PCOS, and how-to information about advocating for greater awareness of the disorder. Polycystic ovarian syndrome is not inherently deadly or disabling, but it is chronic and pervasive.
Ms. Harvey was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome and insulin resistance in 2001, but has suffered from the effects of the disorder since puberty. Professionally, she has a background in mass communications, public relations, media, nonprofit administration, and fundraising.
PCOS Today Magazine exists both in online format, in PDF-downloadable format, or in hard-copy form, and is available through Lulu.com. Advertising is accepted, and rates are available by contacting Ms. Harvey via e-mail.
PCOS Today is affiliated with both Project PCOS and the American Electrology Association, and has an associated blog called PCOS for the Masses.
